Client: Carlton Estate Agents
Location: Upper Street, Islington
Completion Date: June 2012
To refurbish an Independent Leading Estate Agency on Upper Street, Islington – from dull and tired-looking to something Fresh, Inviting, Ahead and Stylish. Carlton sits on a street with many other estate agents so it was important that they stood out from the crowd and had a strong identity.
The space can now breathe; there is a good flow for customers thanks to a stunning continual bespoke desk with a seamless surface, also improving the team-work within the company.
Excellent lighting helps to give the space atmosphere whilst being pleasant to work in.
The window display was cleverly designed with a stylish, local and British idea in mind for displaying images that change. The images in the Juke Box move continually. The window is dressed to contextualize the Juke Box, with classic household items. It is Eye Catching, Innovative and also very Functional.
The reception area has an Elegant, Bespoke wing chair, with a British feel to it, designed by Matteo Bianchi Studio, with craftsmanship from Urban Upholstery.
Stunning Italian webbed leather chairs with a chrome base breaks up the space and evokes Quality and Style.
The new space benefits from acoustic panels to dampen any loud sounds to enable the team to work in a relaxed environment with their clients.
Customers are led down to the Director’s stylish Danish desk sitting in front of a striking blue wall, with classic frames showing memorabilia and music from the area. The lighting is attractive and fits in well with the colours of the brand, with a hint of gold.
A wall within is subtly plastered with polished Venetian plaster with a recessed bronze mirror which reflects light and adds an elegant feature.
“Matteo Bianchi Studio really shined with coming up with an imaginative idea for us. We are really very happy with the space and it looks beyond our expectations. We have had a massively positive response from clients and this was ultimately our goal.”
